Father Bob Maguire, Melbourne Storm players and hundreds of participants walked from AAMI Stadium to Federation Square.

10.30am Opening

Attorney-General Rob Hulls officially opened Not 1 More. This was followed by Welcome to Country given by Phil Cooper, a speech by comedian Dave Huges and the day’s events introduced by MC Wil Stacke.

11 am Young people

Violence and abuse happens in young people’s relationships too. What campaigns, websites and projects are helping young people learn about respectful relationships? See the “No Means No” show live, and special guests Ashlee Bellchambers and Vox Congo.

12pm Sports

How are different sports preventing violence against women? Sports stars and clubs including Sharelle McMahon, Eugene Arocca, Peter Schwab and Luke Ablett talk about campaigns and programs run by Australian netball and AFL. Music by Greg Champion and Vox Congo. Arrival of the Walk Against Family Violence with members of Melbourne Storm and the Tigers.

1.30pm Emergency Services: Vic Police and MFB

Hear about the Victorian Police initiatives to prevent violence against women followed by music by Code One Police Band. See a firetruck up close, and the Police horses, bike patrol, highway patrol car and police dogs.

3pm Aboriginal speakers and performers

Music legend Kutcha Edwards and emerging singer/songwriter Rachelle perform 10 minute sets. Appearances by the Young Warriors and dance by Koori Youth Will Shakespeare.

4pm Unions

Recently an Australian union achieved a world first and got workplace entitlements for people experiencing domestic violence. Hear from Wil Stracke and Lisa Darmanin, ASU Victoria, what else are unions doing to prevent family violence and Fiona McCormack, DV Victoria, on everybody’s role in preventing family violence.

4.30pm Survivor advocates

Hear survivors of family violence tell their stories.

5.20pm Choir of Hope and Inspiration

The Logie award-winning choir formerly known as the Choir of Hard Knocks.

5.40pm Loudest Shout Challenge

Local governments and the public V the decibel reader!

6.10pm White Ribbon Ambassadors

White Ribbon Ambassadors talk about how they take an active stand against violence against women in many unique ways – some big, some small. Nick Mazzarella, (WR Ambassador of the Year), Michael Kaufman (Co-Founder of White Ribbon and International speaker), Stephen Tragardh (Vic Police) and Stephen O’Malley (MFB).
